About ME

I grew up in eastern Kentucky in a small town called Paintsville. Played athletics most of my life (baseball and football) and was introduced to bass fishing at the age of 14. Dad and I began fishing out of a 1987 Cajun Ricky Green fishing machine. Dad always let me drive, and I eventually blew that 175 up coming down the lake and made a ton of other memories in that boat. My first big bass encounter was a 5-6lb bass that ate a rooster tail, jumped and threw the lure, I was addicted immediately. I was exposed to videography as a high school student in a media class, as a result the seeds for a videography hobby were planted. As an athlete my reputation was based on a strong worth ethic, and for being a passionate competitor. Fishing became an outlet for me especially as an adult after athletics ended. I spent 10 years of my life coaching high school football and using relationships to help kids earn opportunities at the next level. I have been visiting the bass islands on Lake Erie for around 25 years. This past season we started on the St. Johns river in Florida and worked our way north to Lake Guntersville, Douglas Lake, South Holston, the local Eastern Kentucky Lakes (Paintsivlle Lake and Yatesville Lake) and then up to Lake Erie. all the way to Canada over the summer, chasing giant smallmouth bass and then back to Lake Chickamauga for a few fall Frog trips. I am an educator by trade, I teach media, computer science, and website management. I believe these skills will ultimately help me find success in professional bass fishing.
